about Q

Quincy Lamar, affectionately known as “Q”, is a native of Dallas Texas, and a natural born lover of dance and music.   Quincy has a diversified career ranging between music videos, stage, screen, and television.

 

After moving to Atlanta, Quincy landed his first performance with R&B artist Evelyn “Champagne” King. He has also appeared in such notable music videos as Monica’s “Set It Off”, “Holla” by Trinitee 5:7 and Macy Gray’s “Sexual Revolution”.

 

On the stage, he has choreographed and danced for Da Brat, Fallon and Felisha, Super Bowl XXVIII, and The Microsoft MGX Awards, just to name a few.

 

On the small screen Quincy has appeared in, episodes of Drop Dead Diva, MTV’s Becoming Britney Spears, and The Georgia Lottery where he serves as one of its ambassadors around the state and in commercials. Quincy has also graced the big screen with his talent in such movies as The Notebook, Stomp the Yard, Red One and the remake of the classic movie musical FOOTLOOSE.

 

Quincy currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia where he continues to dance, choreograph, and train the dancers of tomorrow. He was an integral part of the management staff at Gotta Dance Atlanta and also assisted Kim Thomas in creating the work-study program.  Look out for Quincy, because he is slowly helping to advance the state of dance one step at a time!
